Born on the 14th of April, 2016, little Jordan Blair didn't react to any noise at all. Loud noises also passed by like there was huge silence everywhere.
His mum, Taryn Blair, from Perth, was not really shocked that he wasnt reacting to noises because there was a history of hearing loss in her family. She booked him for hearing screening twice and both came back negative.
But on Thursday, 21st July, the caring mother was moved to tears as Jordan was fitted with hearing aids and heard for the very first time.
Ms Blair said "For the first time time he's having a proper giggle". This is the first time he is hearing in his life! and she was really delighted.
While it will take some time to know how severe Jordan's hearing loss is, everyone is relive to see the hearing aids working just fine.
Everyone was worried to see that he never reacted to the barking of the dog at home. this increased the level of stress in the home. So it was heartwarming to see that the hearing aids worked as it means the loss are not as profound as previously thought.
